Derek with a nice baracuda! We landed a lot of cuda's this week and they are fun, fast and jump like a tarpon.
Beside fishing we took a culture trip in Havana. That means visiting the rum museum and the local cigar shops!
down town Havana. They had great coffee here.

Great week of Tarpon fishing!
Jaap with one of his Tarpon's
A very nice and wide Tarpon for Jaap.
This is the time most fish will be getting lost this week. The adrenalin rush. Jumping tarpon close to the boat.
A nice bonus catch mutton snapper. They are super strong and fold your 10 weight completely over.
One of my heavy built tarpon's. My favourite moment...........letting them go!
Bow for the silver king!
Henk is hooked up with a BIG tarpon. But he lost it after a 10 minute battle!
Fight them hard and smart!
Andre with a bonus catch, a horse eyed jack!
Derek with his first Bonefish!

Winter steelheading at its finest!
It is still winter in Terrace, and the amount of snow is record breaking! But we where brave enough to face the elements, and a shallow Skeena river. As most of the steelheaders now, fly fishing for winter run steelhead is NOT a numbers game! Every fish is a trophy and you have to work hard and endure the cold to get rewarded. But once you hook a winter run steelhead just fresh from the ocean, you will never forget it!
A nice afternoon on the Skeena river. Yes that is all ice and snow!
This is the only shot we have from Derek's 20 plus pound!!! Buck that won. After a long fight the hook came loose and we lost the fish. It's all part of steelheading! But have a look at the tail, and where the line cuts thru the water. Now that is a big fish!
That is why we love the Skeena River, a big river with big fish!
